A real estate developer with over 30 years of industry experience, Michael Intoccia has successfully secured investments to redevelop failing golf courses in Massachusetts. In 2016, he secured at least two investors, which led to the opening of The Cape Club Resort in Falmouth and The Cape Club of Sharon. Last year, Michael Intoccia secured another investor who purchased Fox Club Florida, currently known as The Cape Club of Palm City.

In June 2022, The Fox Club and world-renowned golfer Darren Clarke were on the news. Clarke has just won the Senior Open Championship, becoming the fourth player to win both The Open and The Senior Open. At about the same time, it was announced in the news that The Cape Club has purchased The Fox Club and is set to undergo major renovation and rebranding.

Clarke is closely related to The Fox Club. He redesigned the golf course in 2004 when it was first renovated. Clarke also revealed an old plan to make The Fox Club his US base when he transitioned to PGA Tour from the European Tour. However, the plan was interrupted when his wife, Heather, died of cancer in 2006. He re-married Alison Campbell and focused on raising his two children. He kept his connection with The Fox Club by visiting it once in a while, saying he always felt at home in South Florida.
